Taking So-Called Vancouver Over One Book At A Time

Mission

To immerse young adults in the magical, and adventurous world of reading.

Vision

To become So-Called Canada's leading literary festival, constantly re-inventing to become
bigger and better with each passing year.

Our Story

"OMG! Did you read that ending!!"
"YESS!!! It's like she's trying to send us to an early grave!"
"I SWEAR IF SHE HURTS ANY OF MY BABIES I WILL LITERALLY BURN THIS BOOK"
...
"You're right that was bit too far, but I swear I will hurt someone!"

"ME TOO!"
"Okay I gotta get back to reading, it's already 1:30AM and I have to be awake in less than 6 hours. Night"
"Same. Sweet dreams, don't let the authors bite"
Have you ever had this conversation? Or at least some iteration of it. Any reader, especially that of YA Lit, has had this conversation at one point or another. Whether it was online, via text, or in-person. In our case it was none. We never had the chance to connect with another book lover in our area, and usually ended up having the conversation with ourselves.

It's not creepy at all to be whispering to yourself at 3:00AM. Nope, not at all.

Until now. INFUSION was born out of the need we had to connect with fellow readers. To have these late night discussions; complain about our favourite's one minute, and cry about how much we love them the next.  Join us on the adventure of a lifetime! Featuring some of the best and brightest in the world of YA Literature from across North America, and with a special spotlight on national talent; you will walk in expecting fun and adventure, and will leave with the experience of a lifetime, ready for next year.
